Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s presence in the region dates back to 1957 when the bank opened offices in The Philippines and then in Japan. Since 1960 when it opened a private banking office in Hong Kong, the organization has grown steadily, increasing the breadth of its platform throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
